Have you watched the WATCHMEN Trailer yet?

As some of you may have already known the Watchmen film has been under development for some time now, which is being directed by Zack Synder who was also the directer of Frank Miller's 300. With releasing the recent Teaser Trailer for the film which will debut sometime in 2009, let me say that this film has me excited for the coming year. By just the appearance of the trailer itself, you can tell that Zack has put a lot of time and effort into researching and sticking by what the Watchmen series is all about. Some scenes are actually taken straight from the pages themselves rather than translating his own vision and ruining or changing the plot of the story. A habit of which makes many Comic Book Films today fail (ex. Daredevil, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Spiderman 3, etc.).

Let me just say that I am a huge fan of the novel and have made it a tradition to read each year and I am always surprised at how concentrated the novel was on character description. I always got a sense of belief in each character and as you read through the graphic novel you do feel for each one in their own unique sense.

Spotlight on Loren Lorente

Comic Book Artist Loren Lorente is a big fan and contributor to MannyMederos.com and I thought it would be great for you guys to check his work out. I really enjoyed looking over his work because he has a really great sense of page layouts and panel to panel juxtaposition. He really knows how to capture a moment in a scene and give the characters life. Lets all give Loren a warm welcome to the community and pass by his pages as often as he passes through ours. Comic Con Wrap Up!

Hey Everybody, Just want to say NY Comic Con 08 was a real great experience this year. Got to meet so many artists this year who were all real encouraging and helpful when I showed them my mini comics. I was also fortunate enough to get a Marvel Portfolio review of which was video taped by our crew on Pulp Secret.
